Biography:

Prof. Jouhara obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK in 2004 and has a career in both the Industry and Academia since then. He is a Chair of Thermofluids at Brunel and the founder and head of the Heat Pipe and Thermal Management Research Group and the Principal Investigator of many national and international projects in the areas of multiphase heat transfer and fluid dynamics, energy efficiency, renewable energy systems and innovative thermal management systems for electronics, nuclear and biomedical applications.

Biography:

Prof. Dr. Ismet Ugursal from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dalhousie University, CANADA, worked in various areas of energy engineering as a consultant, project director, researcher, and teacher. His Research areas include Energy, Thermo/Fluids, Energy System Modeling, Residential Energy Consumption, Advanced Power Cycles and more. He has worked on energy and international development projects in Canada, Turkey, Sierra Leone, Russia, Columbia, The Gambia, Trinidad and Tobago, the Philippines and Thailand.

 

 

Name: HAITHAM RAMADAN           
Biography:

Prof. Dr. Haitham Saad Mohamed Ramadan obtained his PhD from the Department of Energy and Automatic Control of École Supérieure d'Électricité (SUPELEC), University of South Paris XI, France in March 2012. In 2024, Prof. Dr. Ramadan received his Professorship of Control by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research in France. His fields of interest include hydrogen reservoirs and hydrogen storage systems, power systems control and optimization, sustainability, multi-physical modelling of energy systems, renewable energy (Solar and Wind), hybrid power systems, hydrogen economy, hydrogen technologies, Fuel Cells and Batteries, Energy Management topics, electric and hybrid electric vehicles, microgrids, smart grids and HVDC.

Biography:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Yuca is a Assoc. Prof. Dr. at the Energy Institute in ITU. She is also the founder of Enwair. Leader of the ENWAIR team Ms. Neslihan Yuca and her group have studied materials suitable for Li-ion batteries since 2010 in different laboratories including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She had her MSc. on carbon nanotube materials and hydrogen storage. Her PhD was on the high-density silicon-based anode design for high-capacity Liion batteries. She has very important publications and patents on Li-ion batteries.
